Master R made it.
This is a method that will allow you to type in http://www.dsgamezone.com in the IP address section under internet games. It will then bring up all the games being hosted by this address. To register a game you go Here.
I currently don't know all the details or when exactly when it will be up, so ask Master R. If you want to contact him asap I recommend emailing, or getting dschat(he is there quite often now), but he is in the RS chat room.
So When you open Dschat type in rsftw in the chat box but do this before connecting. It will then automatically connect you. If you can't figure this out, get his Runescape Client Here, and at the top right click chat. That will connect you to the RS chat room.

Well it will be more of a host game database. Once you register the game you wil have a small software app that runs in your system tray.
There are a number of ways to do this. Not all may work but testing is happening now.
• All active games and ips with names are written to the prefs file to create a list when going to internet games. This is what GigGles was talking about
• The home page of dszone.com will list all active ip host games for people to connect to
• The tray utility can list all active host game ips for the player to copy and paste into the host line in an internet game
• The tray utility can detect if ds is running and "activate" the host to be listed on the site
• As of now the tray utility will allow you to change the title of our game and either change the status to "Hosting" or "Off Line Host" with your hosting ip address.
It may start simple and after more testing we can add features to it.
I hope that helps

Looking good
Masterr, have u ever tried to reverse engineer the ds traffic to the zonematch server ?
|
~H}{RW~ MasterReaction
|
Nope and im not going to even pretend I can reverse engineer that.
I am testing the basic tray app today and its working so well. Its easy as pie to activate your game host. Woot.
|
Huib-Bloodstone
|
Well it tried hacking zonematch traffic and i got something, but if u say a simple sys tray can capture the needed information for ur website, its less work and easier.
Tell me if u need any help whatsoever

ok cool huib thanks bud.
The basic app is working fine. It even has a refresh active games and will liste them right there so you dont even have to go to the site to see them.
I am working on a way now to try to get it to find your public Ip address and update the dsg database whenever you activeate your host. For those who dont have static IPs.
2 or 3 days form now the host registration will be up and the basic software posted for download. Nothing too fancy but not a bad start either.
Today Wicca, The Revelatoins. Yrkoon, Gabby from FS, Myself, <KEN> and one other guy made into the DSG game today. Had some fun too. woot.

Unable to connect-
Well I still can't connect to your game thats being hosted at 64.81.117.121.
I've turned all DS ports on, but when I try to connect to 64.81.117.121 it just says unable to connect. It doesn't even search for it. So basicly right when I click connect it say "Unable to connect". I've restarted my pc, i've tried different options under siegelets manger .. etc
Still no luck
Edit: Could other port's that I have opened for other games conflict?
|
~H}{RW~ MasterReaction

Hmm i saw and old DOK member today also.

GigGles try a different host when its running. Just to rule out a problem between your network and mine.
Does it just say "No Games found at that IP address?"
|
~FCO~ Mr GigGles
|
Yea, ill try testing it on my other computer. I'll have to install ds on it..
|
Vampire
|
I'm having the same problem as Giggles, No games found at the specified address.
I've allowed DS and DSG App through my firewall, forwarded DS ports, installed v1.1 and Direct Play but nothing worked.
It seems that I can host as people have joined my games but I cannot join either the DSG host of Sub's Realm
