LoA Dueling/Editing

Okies!

First of all, Dueling in LoA is different in DS1, your lucky if a duel in LoA lasts 10 seconds.

When you boost it is usually 10 clicks and max Hp of 15k. And the main modifiers in LoA are, ofzeal, Hulking, any high magic reducers, ofinvigoration and the Hp raisers.

Soooo...When you are boosting you want to calculate your hp to get to 15k with 10 clicks, and also you mana to get to 30k as anymore of that is just a waste.

So when you are ready to Duel, cast "Mana shield" on yourself, the game pauses and you attack each other using the "zap" spell (anyother lightning spell is alright to use, its just that Zap will cast the fastest.)

Also modding for LoA is exactly the same, there are just new effects in LoA and most DS1 mods will work in LoA except for Inventory mods.

So Basically...Nature Magic owns in LoA.

I hoped we all learned something new today kiddies!

LOL W$ND. When shes says ofZeal she means alot of it. So add in like 40 extra pots of it just this and you might survive.

sounds cool but doesnt seem to take as much skill as are duals

Well things are the way they are in LOA but that does not mean we cant introduce somthing new.

Lets get on LOA with non boost chrs. Make ofzeal/hulking/oflion/ofinvigoration outfits and zap the hell out of each other to see how it goes. LOOOOOOOOOL!!!

We could make it so there is talent involved. Wink

Oh ya can you tell I'm done with DS2!!
~FCO~ Mr GigGles

Haha 'zap the hell out of each other' Laughing

sure
~W$ND~

Ohh yes, Good point Master R

You will need atleast 100 Pots to even think about surviving a duel in LoA, I use about 200+ and I still get owned! !

But there are different Magic Reducers in LoA apparently, but no clan wants to share them and I dunno where to find them.

But about the Non-boosting thing, when I host next I will try a Non-boosted game and see how it goes.

And did you notice I'm not the only New Zealander in the clan now? YAY!!!

Well im into POT. haha. Ok I might have to try one of these soon!

hello everyone, I was reading over the forum. and I will say there is, one aspect of Dungeon Siege LOA that is true, the fact that not too much skill is required. One thing ive been trying to do is make a mod that will bascially make LOA the way DS - 1 is, BUT with not 100k health, and at the same time be able to involve skills. Now the underlying problem when editing and boosting in LOA, is the, well let me put it this way, in DS - 1, you boost and the modifiers (enchantments/alterations) stack they keep stacking and stacking and stacking and they are breakable etc. Now for some reason, and this has never been figured out, is when you try to "stack" the modifiers in LOA it doesnt seem to work correctly and heres the worst part about it, it doesnt stack MAGIC REDUCING modifiers everything else seems to work FINE and DANDY but with magic it just loops around,. So Say I boost 50 times with 30 merciless on 15 pots (2 for each pot) once i hit a certain point (block/reduce percentage) it OVERLAPS and starts back at ZERO!!. Now ive observed pcontent for hours on end over and over again trying to ofigure out WHY it's doing this and WHAT can be done to SOLVE it, and I always hit brick walls. (most the time beacuase of the fact that it stems in to .dll's or lqd's) More so do over do I try to achieve a state of either GODLINESS or just death. So yes i agree, and im willing to work with all of you to reach a state of creating, "decent" boosting/stacking principles/standards for LOA.

Congratulations To Iysapha!!! Your looking in the wrong place, Dungeon Siege's .dll files differ from that of DS:LOA. The original Dungeon Siege did magic blocks/reducers correctly but didn't add the nature magic damage correctly. Therefore Ind DS:LOA they basically swapped the two. The mod you'd have to make would incorporate about 83% of DS:LOA's files and no one would download it. Therefore If you like killing people quickly I send you to DS:LOA, if you like to chew before swallowing, I send you to Dungeon Siege.
