hi all, i have a question. What's happend about zone match???

All the french gamer want to know why zone match is closed???

The french support of microsoft can't tell us why, and we need some help for the futur of zone match.

hi, i know only one server for DS1 => zone match.

There is a newer server for DS1??

How must we do for acces to it???

i can get on its a newer version it showd you the connection speed and it has some lag protecter thingy.....i dunno how i accessed it i just went to zonematch and it worked and it has never crashed

nothing......well nothing that i know of.....i just bought ds from ebay it came in like 1 month then i just popped it in downloaded and then went straight to zonematch.....i never used any programs.....and on top of that i could suddenly host....

i had a phone call from microsoft the reson the server is down is because of securty problums that is the offical reson there is no time line on then it will be back up there is no web site that you can read about it the only way to get any info on it is to call microsoft and open a soft wear problum account there are more then one game server down at microsoft they have the same problum with outher servers pgp did not pull the plug microsoft did not pull the plug it will just take time till they have fixed the softwear issue i cant spell worth poop so excuse the misspelled words have a good new year to all

You must have a key on your keyboard called: prt scr or sys RQ.. just pust that and ds creates a screenshot.. you can find your screenshots @ my documents/dungeon siege/

if it doesn't work just do the same and paste it in paint.. save your screenshot as jpg Wink

Zone Match isn't working for one reason. That reason is that Dungeon Siege 1.11 has expired its shelf life. A shelf life is the amount of time that a company expects its game to have a significant amount of players playing it. The shelf life expires when the online provider costs more to uphold than players are playing. Therefore, Zone Match was cancled because there weren't enough players playing on ZoneMatch, and Gas Powered Games deemed that it wasn't worth the cost. This wasn't determined recently, GPG designated Dungeon Siege 1.11's shelf life immediately after the game was released, so even though there might have been 200 games open at any given time, it was closed.

I believe that the shelf life for Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna hasn't expired yet, so users with that game are still able to play on Zone Match with DS LoA.

hehe but loa uses the same zonematch.. i don't think they can exclude ds 1 from the zonematch if you ain't have loa.

Some say its a security reason, well its takes them damn long to fix that Confused

i have absolutely no idea what black logan2 is smokin...the zone has been down for 4 weeks and going on to week 5....may be he has a hacked version that logins to ventrillo or some thing...

As for Lone knight, u r also incorrect...I have ds1/loa...when u login as loa, u see the same exact games, except u can't join ds 1 games.
if u login as ds1, u will see the same games, except u can't join loa games...
and they BOTH login to the same zone match server...

So far w.t.f. demo has the correct information....

the real evil doer is Microsoft....if u look under whois domain name...it list microsoft as the owner of ip address...logic follows that the ip address owner is also one hosting the server.

so u can complaint at microsoft:

As long as u have a valid product ID from the LOA CD disc and have not used up ur free support (if u never used it or used support only 1 or 2 times then u should still have free support)

And knew it would be a matter of time before they pulled the plug. The official word from a senior tech then was DS1 Zone server was scheduled for decommision and wold be taken down. HOWEVERF since LOA uses the same zone server it is likely that DS1 zone match would remain active untill the Jan 2009 life cycle for LOA is over. I got all of this before the DS1 life cycle was over.

Now the part about LOA going down now is just pissing us all off and it should remain active until the product live cycle is over. THER IS NO REASON MS NEEDS TO TAKE IT DOWN NOW. Security problem . . . maybe, but they should fix it just like any of their other producs. So if you own LOA complaion to them they need to hear it.
